What kind of coat types do your Doodles have?
F1 doodles tend to have plush, loose, or wavy coats, occasionally an F1 breeding will have a more curly coat.
F1B doodles can have a variety of coat types including loose, wavy, or curly.

What does F1 mean?
F1 (first generation) doodles are the result of breeding a purebred poodle with another purebred breed. These dogs are 50% poodle and 50% other breeds. F1 doodles are usually the most consistent in their appearance. They usually have a wavy/shaggy coat as adults. Some F1 puppies are curly and you can see this by 7 weeks.
What does F1B mean?
F1B (first-generation backcross) doodles are the result of breeding an F1 doodle with a purebred poodle. These dogs are 75% poodle and 25% other breeds. They will genetically have a higher chance of producing a curly puppy (less chance of hair loss) but many F1B puppies vary within the litter. Some could be straighter like an F1 and some can be very curly, depending on the individual puppy.
F1B doodles are usually the least likely to shed and have a more consistent type of coat: curly and wavy/shaggy.
Shedding
Do your Doodles shed?
It is impossible for us to 100% guarantee that our puppies won’t lose hair.
In reality, it is impossible for any breeder to promise that their dogs do not have any hair loss. But you can usually predict if a puppy will have hair loss by 7 weeks old.
Hair loss depends on each individual puppy. The rule of thumb is the curlier and the thicker the coat, the less chance of losing hair. The puppies you will see that have hair loss typically have thinner, wiry coats.
Allergies
Are Doodles hypoallergenic?
It is impossible for us, or any breeder, to call our dogs 100% hypoallergenic.
F1 doodles are compatible with most families with mild allergies.
Please note that dog allergies consist of more than just coat type and amount of hair loss. One could be allergic to the dog’s saliva or dander. Please research the particular allergy you have before choosing a doodle for its hypoallergenicity.
